Although this will be our second year in a row not celebrating Thanksgiving with our families it will definitely be nice not to have to deal with holiday traffic. Having this extra time at home helps me to get some practice in on perfecting those Thanksgiving meals. I’ve decided to start a new Lagos tradition and incorporate a signature dish. This year I’ve decided to try out an apple pie. Through the years I hope to have that one item that makes Thanksgiving worth having and making year after year, that which will make those endless hours of cooking worthwhile. There’s nothing like hearing, “Wow, this is delicious!” over any meal, but there’s nothing like hearing those words around the holidays. This Thanksgiving will include apple pie, mashed potatoes, stuffing, sweet potatoes & marshmallows, cranberries, green bean casserole and of course, turkey. We’re looking forward to sharing Thanksgiving with our good friends Tanya and Alan.
Happy Thanksgiving from our home to yours and may your tummy be satisfied with the flavors of the season.
